Detroit Lions draft new players in 2025 NFL Draft

After selecting Tyleik Williams in the first round of the draft on April 24, the Lions took Georgia's Tate Ratledge and Arkansas' Isaac TeSlaa in the second and third rounds, respectively, on April 25. The Lions are scheduled to make five selections April 26, holding picks in the six and seventh rounds.

The Lions used the No. 28 overall pick in the first round of Thursday night's NFL Draft to add defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. A two-year starter for the Buckeyes, Williams (6-3, 334) played mostly in the three-technique for the Buckeyes' defense and was an elite run defender and disruptor.

The Detroit Lions selected Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams with the 28th overall pick, choosing a run-stuffer instead of a pass-rusher with their first-round pick. The Lions then selected Georgia offensive guard Tate Ratledge with their second-round pick.
